Juvenile Justice
Teens teetering on the edge of a ship wrecked life. A life with more days behind bars and fences than in freedom. These youth are the most vulnerable we work with; the most desperate for hope.
System-involved youth come to us through a few paths. Some are court ordered to complete community service hours with our mentors. Some we meet during our weekly visits to detention centers. All are lost and crying out for help.
JJM exists to work with youth who have been arrested, incarcerated, or placed on a probation/diversion program. During our one-on-one and group times, we present a mixture of life skills, mentoring, and truth from God’s word. We take the time to see past the bravado and defenses to engage with the scared teen underneath. Through intentional, caring relationships we begin to earn trust and give hope.
